After project redevelopment, TotalEnergies is restarting production from the Tyra hub in the Danish North Sea, the company said in a March 22 press release.
At plateau, the Tyra hub will produce 5.7 MMcm of gas and 22,000 bbl/d of condensate, TotalEnergies said.
Gas from the hub is delivered through two export pipelines to Nybro in Denmark and Den Helder in the Netherlands.
TotalEnergies operates the Tyra field on behalf of Danish Underground Consortium, a partnership between TotalEnergies (43.2% ownership), BlueNord (36.8%) and Nordsøfonden (20%).
“The success of this major redevelopment project owes a lot to the commitment of our teams, our partners and our contractors. The new Tyra leverages state-of-the-art digital solutions and technological innovations to produce more efficiently and with 30% lower greenhouse gas emissions than the former facilities,” said Nicolas Terraz, president of E&P at TotalEnergies.
The Tyra hub, discovered in 1968 by Maersk Oil, is located 225 km west of the coast of Esbjerg. Part of the hub’s redevelopment included installation of eight new platform topsides, two jackets and six bridges.
